Hello Stunning!
Today I have a special treat for you! A guest post by Stacey Fletcher, a Makeup Artist for MakeupBrushes.co.uk. She has prepared some tips of how to take care of your makeup brushes and your skin!
MakeupBrushes.co.uk is an online store where you can find a wide selection of makeup brushes featuring brands such as Real Techniques, Eco Tools, Brush Works and many others. Head over to the website to check out the range, but be careful as you won’t be able to leave empty handed 🙂
Decent makeup brushes shouldn’t be cheap and disposible, they should be seen as a high quality investment, showing your love for your skin and your desire to have the best make up application and the most flawless finish. It’s so important to keep your brushes in an immaculate condition, not only so you can get continued use out of them, but also to get the best quality use and to keep your skin healthy.

Here are just a few tips on keeping your brushes in perfect condition…

Keep them clean
You can choose to use a daily cleanser spritz if you wish, but always give them a regular deep clean at least once a month, to keep them clean and remove any bacteria that may be building. There are a few ways you can clean your brushes; massaging baby shampoo or brush cleaner into your brushes and rinsing, using a brush cleaning tool with varying textures and even swirling your brushes over a plain bar of soap.

Using a conditioner on your brushes will restore the softness within the bristles, keeping them fresh and allowing you longer use. Use the same conditioner you’d use on your hair, it doesn’t need to be a fancy one and all you need to do is rub the conditioner into the bristles and rinse before rinsing it out.

Dry them upside down
Makeup brushes are all shaped differently in order to do different things – when you’re drying your brushes it’s best to dry them upside down with the bristles facing downwards, encouraging the bristles to fall back into place. Drying with the bristles facing upwards can lead to pressure on the bristles, which can result in shedding and mis-shaping.

Stand them up
If your brush comes with a protective pouch, then there’s not really any excuse for having bent or damaged bristles. Most brushes, particularly singular brushes, don’t come with a protective pouch though, so grab yourself a small glass or a vase, add coffee beans to the base, and keep them upright with the bristles facing up, not down.

Hello Everyone!
It has been a while since I posted an empties post, and I have accumulated so many empties boxes that I need to finally write about them. This time I have products from across all categories, skincare, haircare, bodycare and makeup so am sure you will find something interesting for yourself as well.

Mitchum Advanced Women 48h Protection Anti-perspirant Deodorant
I used up two of these as I found Mitchum to be a very effective antiperspirant. It is a creamy deodorant, which makes it is quite hydrating and therefore can be used after you shave without irritating your armpits. It has a very unique smell, quite medicinal I would say, but I really liked it. However, since it is a white, creamy deodorant it can leave white marks on dark clothes. Available in Boots, £3.20
Holland and Barrett Skin Hair Nails
After the winter months, my hair and nails are quite damaged and need a vitamin boost! So I always reach for Holland and Barrett Skin Hair Nails which immediately strengthens all 3. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a beauty boost! Available in Holland and Barrett, £10.29
Bourgeois Silk Edition Compact Powder
Bourgeois is always one of my favourite choices for powder foundation. It is light, easy to apply and provides an airbrush finish. Actually, many people complemented my make-up when I was wearing this powder, as it provides a light, fresh coverage. I particularly like that it comes with a mirror and a sponge so can be used on the go, and I can always have it in my handbag. Available in Boots, £8.99.

Osmo Intensive Deep Repair Mask
I got this in the December Dollibox, and I had very good impressions of this product. It was hydrating, smoothed down the frizz and smelt like almonds! I used it all over my hair 2 times a week when my hair was very damaged and it really helped. It is also very reasonable priced so I would give it a try if your hair is dry and damaged. Available at Feelunique, £3.

Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm
Dry lips – this is the best remedy, 100% natural, smells of beeswax, what more could you want?

Clinique High ImpactMascara
This has been featured previously in my December Favourites. I was happy with this mascara as it lengthened and thickened my lashes without clumping them together. I like to have a small mascara on me wherever I go in case I want to fix my makeup so I would recommend getting this one.

L’Occitane Shea Hand Cream
Since I have so many empties, I am going to be very brief about this hand cream. It is a second or third tube that I already finished. It is my ultimate dry hands remedy as it is filled with vitamin E, 20% Shea Butter, honey and sweet almond extract and aromas of jasmine and yland-yland essences. Available from L’Occitane, £8.

Caudalie Honey and Hand Cream
Unfortunately this has been discontinued even though it was a great hand cream. I don’t really like floral hand creams, so I try to find ones that smell like honey or almonds or have sweet scent notes. This hand cream was hydrating and smelt amazing so I cannot get over the fact that I can no longer buy it…if you find anything similar please let me know!

Lush Rub Rub Rub
As you can see, I have been using a lot of products from Lush lately so I have a lot of them to review! Rub Rub Rub is a very light salt scrub. It can be used on wet skin as a gentle exfoliant or on dry skin for a more harsh exfoliation. Apparently it can also be used on the hair, but it did not work on my dry hair. I preferred using it on wet skin, in the shower focusing on the décolletage area and using a scrub with thicker grains on other body parts. Available from Lush, £8.95.

Lush Oatfix Fresh Face Mask
If you are looking for a nourishing face mask then Lush is always a good choice. I love the Oatfix mask as it is very hydrating and smells of sweet almonds! It is mildly exfoliating so after 10-15 minutes, you can gently massage it into your skin to exfoliate the dead skin, using warm water. Like all Lush masks it does not disappoint. Available from Lush, £6.75.

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub
Lip scrubs have become very popular lately, as they smooth the lips, making the lipstick look so much better. The Popcorn lip scrub is so delicious as it is made with popping candy, coconut oil and caster sugar. I know that the pot may seem quite small, but it lasts forever, even if you are obsessed like me and use it daily. Available from Lush, £5.50.
Pecksniff’s England Sandalwood and Vanilla Moisturising Shower Gel
Last but definitely not least is the shower gel from Pecksniff’s. There are two main scent notes in this shower gel, one is sandalwood and the other vanilla, which complement each other and will make you feel like you are in a Romanian Spa. If you are a fan of earthy smells, this is one to try. The shower gel is also hydrating, leaving your skin soft and nourished. Available from Pecksniff website, £30.

Ania’s advice:
1. Try wearing minimal makeup
2. You can still keep mascara *-*
3. Get a tan

Hello Gorgous!
If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that lately I am hitting the gym quite often. I decided to adapt this healthy lifestyle in winter, and I can already see great results. My skin looks better, I wake up full of energy, and obviously I can see the effects of working out on my body. I feel ready for summer and definitely more confident as well. However going to the gym does require some effort, and I need to prepare before going, so here are my gym essentials without which I don’t leave the house!

Sure Maximum Protection Sport Strength
This is my number 1 essential. I can never go to the gym without a good deodorant that will prevent odour and will help me stay as glamorous as I can whilst doing push-ups, running or boxing. The Sure deodorant is one of the best deodorants I tried as it prevents excessive sweating, and the effect lasts, so you don’t need to constantly reapply it.
What I like about this particular deodorant is that it has skin moisturising ingredients, and does not irritate the skin, even if you apply it straight after shaving. Sure claims that it is 2x stronger than the leading antiperspirant, and I can agree that it is probably the strongest antiperspirant I tried. I would definitely recommend to take this deodorant to the gym if you want to prevent perspiration in the gym. Available in Boots, £4.99.
Wilkinson Sword Quattro Raspberry Rain Disposable Razor
I always carry a razor in my gym bag in case I come straight from university or work, and need to use it before working out. Right now, I am using the Raspberry Rain Razor from Wilkinson Sword. It is a disposable razor, and it is available in a pack of 3 so it is very convenient. However, unlike regular razor, it has 4 blades, helping to target all areas, leaving your skin silky smooth. Also, it may seem hard to believe, but the handle is raspberry scented so your gym bag will smell lovely and, well, using a raspberry scented razor is pretty cool don’t you think? 😉 Available in Boots, £5.99.
Toni and Guy Dry Shampoo
There are those days when your hair is looking terrible and you cannot face the gym without a can/bottle of dry shampoo. My favourite one is from Toni and Guy, as it is lightweight, cleanses the hair and does not stick them together. It adds at least an extra day of freshness, so you will look stunning at the gym even if your hair is not freshly washed. Available in Boots, £7.49.
Dr Paw Paw Multipurpose Balm
There is nothing worse than dry lips at the gym, so I always take Dr Paw Paw original multipurpose balm which I can also use on my cuticles and hair. It doesn’t have a scent, so it will not bother you during your workout. It is made with natural ingredients with healing properties so ideal for workout time. Available from Dr Paw Paw, £6.95.
Tabitha James Kraan Organic Hair Cleanser Golden Citrus
Obviously showering after the gym is essential, and usually you do need to wash your hair, unless you do some lightweight exercise like stretching or yoga. I am a fan of Tabitha James Kraan, ever since I tried her conditioner.

I consider going to the gym to be a detoxifying activity for me so I try to use minimal amount of chemicals, during and after exercising which is why I chose the Organic Hair Cleanser. It is formulated with 86% organic ingredients such as oatmilk, argan oil, coconut oil, aloe vera and essential oil (neroli, tea tree, angering, lavender, myrrh and bergamot) which are great for hair and scalp. This shampoo not only cleanses the hair but also balances and soothes the scalp, reduces frizz and strengthens the hair. It is ideal for after gym as it also calms excessive oil production and has anti-inflammatory properties. Available from Au Sujet De Vert, £22.50/150ml.

The Collection Concealer (Shade 1)
I am a fan of minimal makeup in the gym, as sweating with a full makeup face is not good for the skin at all. However, I cannot go to the gym completely bare faced so I always take my Collection Concealer. I am always talking about this concealer so to keep it short, it provides great coverage, lasts long and looks great throughout the workout.
Body Wash
I always take a travel size body wash with me to the gym in case there are no body washes available or I don’t like the products. After the gym I like to use a body wash which has a fresh smell like this one, formulated with geranium, lavender and peppermint which when combined together smell divine.
Ania’s advice:
1. Aim to workout 2 – 3 times a week
2. Don’t get demotivated if you don’t see results straight away
3. Create a ‘gym essentials’ bag

May is the best month to start looking glamorous for summer. The gradual self tan will give your skin a healthy glow, and a subtle tan you have been after the whole winter, Chin-up will improve your skin’s appearance and improve your self-confidence, whilst the brush will ensure your make-up looks impeccable.

James Read Gradual Tan

I have never been a fan of self tan with the complexity of application and the endless failure stories. A lot of my friends use self tan, but the results were not too great, especially when used on the face. With a very pale complexion, I decided that self tan was not for me, until I tried the Gradual Tan by James Read… This product brings self tanning to another level. It comes in a see-through plastic bottle and it is a clear liquid.
It is infused with DHA, the active bronzing ingredient in self tanners. Against many expectations, it contains great ingredients like acne-fighting zinc, coconut oil, and hydrating rose water. After application my skin felt hydrated and ready for makeup and with every application it got darker gradually.
Cleanse your skin, spray evenly on face and neck, and wait for 2 minutes to settle, then apply makeup. Use daily until you achieve the perfect tan. This is my favourite product from this box, and I would definitely recommend getting it for the summer.

SPECIAL OFFER James Read Tan H2O Tan Mist – 10% OFF 100ml

Girl Meets Brush Powder Brush
I don’t know if you heard about this brand before, but it was started by celebrity makeup artist, Lynne Mills. The brushes are minimal but honestly they are great. This powder brush, is probably one of the softest brushes I own. It is quite thick which helps to spread the powder more evenly on the face. Remember to apply the powder in circular motion to distribute it well on the skin. Also this brush is great for blending in blush or bronzer, making your makeup look flawless!
SPECIAL OFFER Girl Meets Brush 5 Piece Contour Brush Set – 30% OFF

Chin- up Mask Firming and Contouring Trial Pack

Since I haven’t got any problems in this particular area, I’ve decided to try this product on my mom. Despite having aged relatively well, her chin is a bit of an issue for her. The mask has improved her appearance, smoothed down most of the fine lines and tightened the skin. Not to mention the surprisingly effective moisturising properties.
You start off by applying the slimming mask, then follow with the elastic band that goes around your head, tightening it as much as you feel comfortable with. The product combines science and beauty by making use of natural fruit extracts, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid in a lovely package which evokes your first aid kit in its red and white colour scheme. What it does is it effectively boosts your lymphatic system thus reducing fat tissue in the chin area.
Although the results are temporary, you can extend them by applying every day. After about half an hour, my mom was left delighted with a smooth, luminous complexion. Chin up!

Hello Lovelies
I am so sorry for the lack of posting, but I was away on holiday in Dubai. Those who want to see what I did have a look at my Instagram (Aniaaa Pawlak). Anyway, I have some April favourites I wanted to share with you, as it was such a lovely month and I tried some fantastic products. And better late than never right? 🙂

The Body Shop Body Brush Round
Those of you who know me already, will know how obsessed I am with exfoliation and scrubs. I make my own scrubs most of the time as I like when they are thick and exfoliate well, and I find that the drugstore ones don’t do such a great job. You can see my Coffee Scrub recipe here
Exfoliating once or twice a week is essential to have a glowing, smooth skin. It also prevents ingrown hair, and if you use self tan it will help making it look more even. Usually I used a scrub with my hands but then I discovered this brush and it really improves the process, ensuring you target all the areas. Also it helps to stimulate microcirculation and if you have dry skin like me, it will be ideal to keep your skin healthy.

It is important that you run it under the shower first to make it softer, and then after you apply the scrub, use the brush to massage your skin in circular motion. Remember to be carful not to go over the top as you may irritate your skin! Available from The Body Shop, £8.

Linea English Rose Candle Scented Candle
How can you better greet the warm summer months than with a floral candle? This candle from Linea smells of fresh, English roses, filling the room immediately after being lit. It burns for about 40 hours so it will last for a while. Tip – remember to cut the wick every time before lighting!
It looks lovely with other candles or alongside a vase with freshly cut flowers! It comes with a metal top so you can always close it if you don’t want the smell to escape when not in use! Available from House Of Fraser, £15

Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser
I’ve been looking for a light, morning cleanser for a while now and I recently tried the Morning Time Cleanser from Eve Lom and I absolutely love it. Eve Lom is a widely recognised brand, and very popular, especially amongst the Asian customers, who are well known for their beautiful skin. It contains the Eve Lom’s 4 signature aromatic cleaning oils, papaya enzymes and carrot oil to stimulate collagen production.
I used it daily, warming up a small amount in my hands and massaging it into the skin and washing it off with warm water. It is very easy to use, and quick to use, leaving the skin feeling hydrated, glowing with minimised pores. Due to its oily formula, it also removes any remaining makeup that you might have missed the night before. Ideal for all skin types, and it worked wonders for me! Give it a go if you are looking for a morning cleanser. Available from Look Fantastic, £40/125ml

Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water
This is quite new on the market, and since I am a fan of Garnier’s Micellar water I could not resist getting this one. It is oil- infused which helps removing makeup, especially waterproof mascara which is often difficult to remove. I was very surprised how much the oil actually improves the product, as it removes the make up effectively, and leaves the skin feeling nourished which is crucial for me as my skin is dry. Very good value for money, especially that I bought it when it was on offer in Boots so I paid around £4! A holy grail beauty product 🙂 Available in Boots, £5.99.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette Naked 2
Last but not least, this makeup palette is a game changer. You have all the necessary colours in one palette which you can take with you wherever you go, thanks to its convenient packaging. You can create any look using the Naked 2 palette, from day makeup to evening makeup.
The beauty of this palette is that you can mix the shadows together, and create unique looks every time. The shade I use the most is half baked but I like them all to be honest! Available from Selfridges, £38.50.
Ania’s advice:
1. Decorate your home with beautiful candles
2. Experiment with eyeshadows
3. Enjoy the sun

Hello Beauty Lovers!
Welcome the April Libbie Box! This month there is something for everyone, a makeup essential, a lovely cleanser and glow drops to keep you looking fresh and glowing throughout the day. For those of you who don’t know, Latest In Beauty has launched a Beauty Box for bloggers called the Libbie Club. The bloggers receive special offers especially for their readers, who can buy great quality beauty products for less. The discounted products are available here! Enjoy!

Bee Good Honey and Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser
For centuries, the honey ingredient has been used as part of beauty routines. It is known for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties and healthcare benefits. This cleanser also contains British Propolis which stops bacteria from spreading and promotes skin renewal. It is suitable for all skin types, and is great at removing makeup and hydrating the skin.
I used it day and night for optimal effect and the cleanser was very creamy and gentle on the skin, removing all the makeup efficiently. The only downside is that the muslin cloth is very small so it doesn’t cover the whole face, and I like to leave the hot muslin cloth on my face, and breathe in the aroma of the cleanser.

Special Offer: BEE GOOD, 2-1 Honey and; Propolis Cream Cleanser – FREE Travel Size

The Hero Project Glow Drops
Let’s give this new product a warm welcome! This dry touch oil is filled with 10 natural essential oils, and vitamin C which helps smooth, nourish and brighten the skin. I used this facial oil everyday in the morning as a makeup base, before applying my concealer and foundation, which made my makeup look fresh throughout the day.
I am a fan of the packaging, as it is very easy to apply, and measure the amount of drops you want to use. I would suggest using around 4 if you also want to apply it on your neck and decollate but the amount you use is completely up to you! I really enjoyed using it in the evening as it helped my skin recover during the night and I woke up with a glowing complexion the next day!

Special Offer: THE HERO PROJECT Glow Drops 20% Off

Eyes Fat Liquid Eyeliner
Let’s be honest here, applying eyeliner can be considered as a form of art involving a lot of training, a perfect base and years of practice. I never had the patience to apply eyeliner, but when this came in this month’s Libbie Box, I was excited to give it a try. Honestly, I was so amazed by the results after the first use (look below and remember that I am terrible at applying eyeliner), that I started using it on daily basis.
The eyeliner is super easy to apply, thanks to its design, as it feels like a marker pen. It dries immediately, doesn’t smudge and stays on the whole day. The cool part about it, is that you can do a thin line or a thicker, 60s style line. This is my favourite product from this month’s box, so grab it before its sold out ;).

Ania’s advice:
1. Use a dry touch oil daily
2. Experiment with an eyeliner
3. Send me your Instagram!

Hello Gorgeous!
Spring has finally arrived and with spring a fresh start! I already got rid of my winter clothes and made space for the summer ones 🙂 March has been a lovely month, surprisingly for London, full of sun and warm days. I visited the amazing Brick lane market and the Caledonia Road Flower Market which you must all go and see! I feel that all the products that I loved this month are so refreshing, ideal for spring months.

Quality 1st All In One Sheet Mask

I got these sheet masks from my parents when they went to Japan. Inside, there are 7 masks which are  very hydrating. I started using sheet masks, after my friend from China showed me her beauty routine, and her skin is perfect. Sheet masks are especially good if you are looking for instant hydration. These sheet masks are great, and they were hydrating, leaving my skin glowing and plumped. I would use them 2-3 times a week to keep my skin looking healthy. I will buy it again as compared to other masks they were more hydrating and more effective as well.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner
I always seem to come back to this Toner as it is one of those products that doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight after using. It has a lovely, delicate smell which is suitable for both morning and evening. I use it everyday after double cleansing my skin and before applying my serum and moisturiser. It is suitable for all skin types, but I would recommend it especially for people who suffer from dry skin! This is my third or forth bottle of this toner already and I am still fully satisfied with the results (Available at The Body Shop, £9.50).

L’Occitane Neroli and Orchidee Body Milk
One scent that I love to use during spring is L’Occitane Neroli and Orchidee, as it smells of fresh orchids mixed with my favourite ingredient, Neroli. This lotion is quite light, so it is not as hydrating as body butters but I mainly use it for the scent rather than hydration. I would suggest applying it on arms and upper body and layer scents on top of it (Available from, L’Occitane, £54/75ml).

Lancome Hypnose Doll Mascara
There is a general belief that often the drugstore mascaras are better than the more expensive ones and sometimes, I must say this is true. However, not this time. This mascara has made my lashes so long and thick I don’t know if I will ever want to change it. The packaging is very chic as well, and it is definitely a luxury product, which unfortunately comes at a price… but sometimes you need to treat yourself 🙂 (Available from Boots, £23.50)

Kneipp Lavender Balancing Herbal Bath
I rarely take baths due to lack of time, but when I do, I always use something to make it perfect. I adore the smell of fresh Lavender, especially in baths as I find it very relaxing. Lately I tried this bath soak from Kneipp, and it smells divine. I used about half of the bottle for a bath, which turned the water into the  colour of lavender, a light shade of purple. Overall, the scent was long lasting, making the whole bathroom smell beautifully. A hot bath, with tea, candles and this essential oil, is the perfect way to destress and spend a relaxing evening at home (Available from Feelunique, £9.95/100ml).
Ania’s advice:
1. Add a new product to your beauty routine
2. Wear a crazy lipstick or eyeshadow!
3. Enjoy Spring

Hi Beautiful

The January Libbie Club is here with products that help you relax and prepare for the year ahead! For those of you who don’t know, Latest in Beauty has launched a Beauty Box for bloggers called the Libbie Club. The bloggers receive special offers especially for their readers, who can buy great quality beauty products for less. As always, the offers this month are great, my favourite are the Maddi Alexander Rose Soaking Salts! You can redeem all the offers at my page here!

Maddi Alexander Rose Soaking Salts
There is nothing better in winter than a nice, hot bath after a long day. This month, Libbie Club has sent me these gorgeous bath salts to try and I must say I do like them a lot! The smell is great, smelling like a bouquet of freshly cut roses, mixed with cardamon, pink pepper and Shea butter.
The bath salts are infused with oils, nourishing your skin whilst you take a bath, so you don’t need to worry about dry skin after. The salts are filled with beautiful rose petals which look stunning in the bath. Love love love!

DHC Cleansing Oil
If you have been keeping up to date with the beauty news, you would have heard about the importance of double cleansing. Double cleansing is cleaning your face first with an oily product such as cleansing oil or balm, and then following with a water based product such as micellar water. I think it is very important to use both as water based product will not remove all the makeup and dirt which can results in breakout as well as skin problems.
This is an award winning cleansing oil and I understand why. It contains olive oil which is known for its antioxidant properties, and beneficial effect on the skin. The DHC cleansing oil melts away all the makeup leaving your skin soft and nourished. Best way to use it, massage it in, add water and rinse it off. The pump is very handy, preventing the product from spilling. A beauty lover must-have!

Eye Of Horus Sahara Nude Goddess Pencil
This is the first time I tried a nude eye pencil and I love it! It makes my eyes look bigger, brighter and  awake even if I am exhausted! For best results, I applied it on the waterline, and since it is paraben free it is safe to use. It contains Beeswax, Carnauba and Candelia wax, as well as Moringa oil, which ensure that the pencil is soft and does not irritate the eye area. Lovely product, great for brightening the eyes!

SPECIAL OFFER! Free Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil And Sharpener with Sahara Nude Goddess Pencil, £15

With every purchase over £30 you can get £5 off, and if you sign up to newsletter you get 10% off as well! Enjoy!

Ania’s advice
1. Find some time time to relax
2. Take a nice bath
3. Try Maddi Alexander Bath Salts
