In recent years, I have always been travelling during the summer months, but I realised there are so many destinations which are still hot during September, October and November. This year, I am planning to go somewhere sunny during the Autumn, and I would strongly recommend you do the same! Here are some of my beach essentials that I have been loving during the past few months. Enjoy!
Nuxe Shimmering Dry Huile Prodigieuse Or
You know that golden glow everyone wants? You can now recreate it on your skin, even if you are not tanned, using the Shimmering Dry Huile Prodigieuse Or from Nuxe. The nourishing oil is filled with thousands of shimmering particles which make your skin sparkle. It smells lovely too, so you can layer you scents on top.
Available from Nuxe Website for £34/100ml. I strongly suggest you order from Nuxe’s website directly as they have an amazing loyalty club, and there are always fantastic discounts and offers available so you get lots of gifts 🙂
Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom
In the last month, I spent two weeks on the beach, mostly in the water, kitesurfing. Last year I felt that the salt water, sun and wind really dry out my skin, hair and lips, so this time I compiled together very hydrating products. The lip balm from Glossier really worked wonders, and kept my lips hydrated throughout the day. I am a huge fan of the coconut flavour as it smells and tastes amazing. Available from Glossier Website for £10.
L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
This is one of my favourite hair products of all times. I literally use it every single day to provide moisture and nutrients to my hair. It contains a precious blend of 6 flower extracts ideal for hydrating the hair, smoothing down the frizz and adding that healthy glow.
It is designed for all hair types so I always recommend it to anyone, as it can be used before shampooing as a mask, pre-styling or as a finishing touch to any hairstyle. Also this product is a total bargain! Available from Boots for £6.66.
Nuxe Hair Protection
It is crucial to really take care of your hair if you do water sports in order to protect them from the damaging effects of the salt water, the wind and the sun. Every time I go on a surfing trip, I take a hair protective product with me. I must say, I really liked the Hair Protection from Nuxe as it hydrates the hair, and stays on during the day thanks to its oily composition.
As all Nuxe products, it smells wonderfully, and I received a lot of compliments about the scent on the beach. After a week of kitesurfing, my hair looked fabulous, hydrated and was super shiny. A summer must- have! Available from Nuxe Website for £10.50.
Nivea Sun Q10 Anti-Age & Anti Pigments Face Cream SPF50
I am obsessed when it comes to sunscreen, and I usually avoid exposing my face to the sun whenever possible, however if you love water sports, you will end up in the sun most of the time. It is super important to choose high quality sunscreen to avoid any pigmentation and early signs of ageing.
The product I recently discovered and absolutely adored is the Nivea Sun Q10 Anti-Age & Anti Pigments Face Cream SPF50. It has a high UVA/UVB protection against sunburns and premature skin ageing, and the Q10 formula helps to prevent wrinkles as well as pigment spots. The cream itself has a pleasant smell, and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated. As I usually spent two hours in the water without a break I also needed something which wouldn’t melt away, and this cream was perfect. I will definitely repurchase it. Available from Boots for £8.
Nivea Sun Moisture Mousse Face Cream SPF50
This is another sunscreen that worked very well for me during my trip. It is super light, easy to apply and gets absorbed easily into the skin. It did not leave any white residue on my skin and I definitely did not feel like I had any sunscreen on. I must say that both of the creams from Nivea were amazing, and when in the water, I did not feel like they were being washed away easily. If I will go again on holiday in October, these will definitely be in my beach bag! Available from Boots for £8.
Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Face Mist
One thing I never leave my home without is a face mist. I am obsessed with the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist as it is super refreshing, and it smells beautifully! It contains nourishing blend of Rose, Sage an Orange Blossom Waters which not only revitalise your skin, but leave it feeling hydrated. The mist contains Omorovicza’s Healing Concentrate which infuses minerals deep into the skin, and helps to keep it youthful.
I constantly use this mist during the summer months, as it really relaxes me, and calms me down. It is ideal for long days on the beach when you need to feel fresh and gorgeous! The glass bottle is also dreamy, and feels super luxurious! Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Mist is available from Look Fantastic for £50.
No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced BB Facial Sun Protection SPF50 Fair
I never wear makeup to the beach, but one product I love using is a BB Sunscreen. I recently tried the one from No7, and I think it works very well with my skin tone. The BB cream brightened my complexion, giving it a healthy, tinted glow. Another reason I chose this product is that it has SPF50 and you should always use SPF50 on your face, as it helps to avoid dark spots, hyper-pigmentation and early signs of ageing.
This BB cream also contains peptides which help restoring a more youthful skin. I would recommend it if you are planning to stay on the beach or by the pool, not for watersports. No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced BB Facial Sun Protection SPF50 is available from Boots for £15.
